Official Single Released!

People Who Could Fly has just recently released their newest single called “Taking Me Over”! After some silence, PWCF has come back better than ever with the song that features a new sound for the band. To bring it all together, the band released a music video for the song as well. This song is the first off of their new EP/Album which is still untitled. To hear them play the song live, check them out at any of their upcoming shows, including the EP release of Weslynn at the Rebel Lounge on September 16. Tickets can be bought online at store.PeopleWhoCouldFly.com. Check out their other upcoming shows on the tour section of either the website and Facebook page.

It’s Friday

You did it.  To all those who made it through the week, it’s now Friday.  That means you can enjoy the weekend by starting it off right with a PWCF concert.  Tonight, starting a 7PM at Valley Bar, People Who Could Fly joins Fosterson and Iamwe in a show that will certainly blow minds.  In fact, it was even mentioned by local news azcentral as one of the top 20 shows of July to check out!  In other news, each day grows closer to PWCF’s first single release.  Look for it by the end of August/early September.  Lastly, the band is looking to make big strides as they made the semifinals in the international indie music competition called Unsigned Only.  They stride to make it even farther as the competition continues.  Check back for more updates soon!

Hot Hot Heat

The summer heat is here.  And it’s awful.  The band felt the heat as they played Comicon three days in a row outside in 115 degree weather.  Needless to say, their costumes did not stay on too long.  As the summer moves along, the band works on releasing a new single, currently written and ready to be recorded, and it will be amazing.  Stay tuned for a release date (end of summer maybe?).  For their upcoming shows, the band is heading to Tumbleweed Park on the July 4th to celebrate the United States’ independence, ‘cause we don’t need no country daddy.  After, People Who Could Fly teams up with IAMWE to rock Valley bar on July 8th.  These tickets are discounted to only $5 until July 1st.  Get yours here: store.iamweband.com.

Summertime and the Living’s Easy

As the summer draws near and the temperature rises, the band gets ready to finish recording an acoustic version of their EP Neon Electric.  The release date for this EP is still to be determined, but it will certainly be a cool, relaxing album for the hot summer.  As for the rest of the summer, the band has planned quite a bit of ways to keep their fans entertained.  First, the band plans on a great showing at Marquee Theatre on May 21st.  For those interested in tickets, look no further:bit.ly/PWCFMarquee.  As the month turns to June, PWCF looks to nerd out at Phoenix Comicon, where they get the pleasure of playing every day, minus Thursday.  They might even have some super costumes as well!  For a list of all upcoming PWCF shows, visit their Facebook page or website (which you are currently on) and click the Tour Dates tab!  Finally, a congratulations to band members Fletcher Milloy, Jacob Paige, and Levi Siwek who will all be graduating high school in the next few weeks!

Soaring Over the Grand Canyon State

The months of March and April see the band moving across the state of Arizona.  Playing down south in Tucson and up north in Flagstaff, the band has been playing shows for three of the most well-known universities in Arizona: Arizona State University, University of Arizona and Northern Arizona University.  With some shows at local businesses, such as Sky Bar and Sozo Coffeehouse, the band fills the gaps of its’ Arizona college tour.  However, this local Arizona tour is only a precursor for what excitement this summer may bring.  Make sure to keep up with all PWCF shows at peoplewhocouldfly.com/tour/.

Introducing… the Frequent Flyers Fan Club!

I should probably call it the “FAM” club, since we’re all family. But hey! We’re super excited to announce that our fans can now be part of a club!! Like seriously, we have badges and secret passwords and all the cool kids are part of it.

Everyone who joins our fan club (link on the bottom right side of our homepage) will get a free download of “The Villain” (That’s right, Free is a magic number!) and will receive a badge that allows VIP access to meet and hang out with the band after our shows! How cool is that? Well, let’s just say polar bears are all over it.

In other news, the band just met a bunch of famous people! We got to play on stage with Whitney Houston / Mariah Carey’s drummer Gigi Conway, and also got to meet Gardner Cole (a-ha’s producer) on set for the reality TV show “Limo Wars”! Gardner Cole also used to work with Madonna, and had 39 PLATINUM ALBUMS!! By the way, place your bets because Limo Wars is totally going to be the best thing since sliced bread. and MAN, sliced bread is good!!

You Know That I Want Jessie’s …

… sweet hair-do! But I also want Jessie’ Girl! We’re playing with Rick Springfield this Saturday at Encanterra Country Club, so maybe if we run into Jessie he can teach me how to obtain both! Well, probably not his girl. But his hair is pretty sweet!

We’re beyond excited! Not only do we get to perform with the 80’s rock and roll icon known as Mr. Springfield (we just call him Ricky), but joining us on the bill is Howard Jones! You might recognize him from the song that goes “woah oh oh oh, oh oh oh”. Remember? No, not THAT one! This one:

This song has been stuck in my head for 12 years, and I didn’t even know what it was called. But I guarantee we can all sing along!
